Twitter: Like IM only public

Hello Readers!

As you may have noticed, I am suspiciously absent from my blog. Part of it is laziness and part of it is because I seem to spend every waking hour of the day on Twitter. (Follow me at MonicaKaye!)

I love Twitter. It's a great way to communicate and it's perfect for me because I always have random bits of shit in my mind that my mouth (or fingers) feels compelled to spit out. Twitter is quick, it's easy, and it's fun. When I write a blog, it takes WAY more of my time and thought process because I really want this blog to be entertaining. With my Tweets, if I'm funny 50% of the time, it works for me.

I also love that so many of my friends and author peeps are on Twitter. Writing is solitary and Twitter is a way to get that intstant gratification. I love watching people's conversations. Some should probably be kept private but the fact that they're available for all to see is both hilarious and odd. I mean the same thing could probably be accomplished with an IM program but where's the fun in that?

So if you're looking for more of me, your best best would be to follow me on Twitter. I'm there and it's like you're actually talking to me...but not.

I'm BACK!!!

Well, I've been back for a week.  I haven't gotten any work done and I am a morass of issues.  That being said, I had a wonderful time in Costa Rica.  I went ATV'ing, I fell off said ATV, I got sun, sand, and I made out with a man.  Nice!  I did, however, draw the line at actually having sex with him because as much shit as I talk, I'm a romantic and I don't do anonymous sex.  Anonymous tongue jousts, yes.  Even some x-rated fondling.  But no sex.  

I regret that now.  LOL!!!

Anyhoo, I don't have a lot to say, just thought that I would post some pics and get back to the blogging on Sunday.

Nothing Much

Sorry about the lack of Book Blog.  I didn't really read anything this weekend worth commenting about.  I'm working an a panel of my local RWA chapter and I don't want to comment here because so you were sans blog.

Nothing much doing here.  I'm working (unsuccessfully) on 30,000 words this month and editing my completed ms.

Oh, and because I am determined to keep all my peeps in the loop, I received three rejections in the space of two days.  The two agents that I queried passed.  Within hours of receiving my query, so, yeah appreciate their quick response.  Nothing like the sting of rejection first thing in the morning.  But, that's life.  That's the unpublished author life anyway.  I accept defeat and I move forward.  Onward and upward.  

Oh, and has anyone seen the movie 'Secretary'?  It's a quirky independent film with Maggie Glyllenhaal and James Spader (I LOVE HIM!).  It's this crazy story about a woman realizing she's a submissive after a stop in crazy town and I-cut-myself-ville.  James Spader plays a dom.  I can hear the ladies over at Dear Author lamenting the fact that she turned in a life a cutting herself for one of submission, but I don't care.  I loved the story.  To me, it was quirky, funny, dark, and sexy.  It proved that when it comes to matters of the heart, there's a shoe for every foot as my mama says.  So if you haven't seen it, do!
